What is a Certificate of Origin?
A Certificate of Origin confirms the origin of exported goods that are being sold internationally as a permanent export. They may be required for commercial or customs reasons where the country the goods are exported to implement rules of origin trade tariffs. The documents your shipment needs and the format required can depend on the country.
- Arab-British Certificates of Origin: used for the export of goods to Arab league states exclusively and require legalisation by the respective embassy
- United Kingdom UK Certificates of Origin: used for the export of goods to non-Arab countries, Egypt and Iran
