An all Wales trade, investment and education mission to Bangladesh officially launched at a recent event.
Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid will lead the mission which is being facilitated by Interlink and supported by mission partner Edvoy.
In addition to contributions from the Chamber, Interlink and Edvoy, the event included messages from members of the Welsh Government and Welsh Parliament, the Bangladesh High Commission, London and the British High Commission, Dhaka as well as testimonials from previous trade mission participants.
Her Excellency Saida Muna Tasneem, High Commissioner for the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, said: “I am extremely happy and express my heartfelt gratitude to Chambers Wales and Edvoy for taking this initiative to take a very diverse, multi-sectoral and entrepreneurial mission to Bangladesh.”
Dan Pasha, Director of Trade & Investment at the British High Commission, Dhaka, said: “The UK shares a historic partnership with Bangladesh, cemented by diaspora, cultural, trade and economic links. I am delighted that Chambers Wales will bring such a diverse range of Welsh companies to Bangladesh, showcasing the best of Welsh business and their private sector expertise.”
The event also featured a detailed itinerary for the mission and the support businesses will receive throughout the week-long mission.
