To encourage Wales based businesses who export or are looking to start exporting, we are delighted to signpost you to the Flexible Skills Programme (FSP) which will support 50% of the cost of eligible training up to a maximum of £25,000.
Centurion VAT Specialists next VAT and Exporting open course on the 24 November qualifies under this scheme but it may be that your business would welcome the opportunity to run an inhouse VAT course if you have a number of finance and logistics’ staff who would benefit from getting clarity on the VAT rules that apply now we have left the EU.
Information on the grant is here and we have confirmation that our next VAT and Export course would qualify as would inhouse VAT training that you would require. The training must be undertaken by the 31 March 2022 and grant will be paid on completion of the training with the relevant evidence of costs incurred.
An application form can be requested by emailing DFESRM@gov.wales. This is a very short application form, asking for essential information from employers in order to make successful claims again the potential funding allocation. A supporting self-assessment will also need to be completed, which outlines information about the company’s approach and commitment to the development of it’s employees. Businesses can expect a decision within 10 working days.
