Partner Insight: Same people, same attitude, different name

Tungsten Corporate Solutions LTD announce the Management Buy Out of accountancy practice Aspen Waite in Wales LTD.

Speaking from their Cardiff Arms Park office, founding Director and CEO David Scheeres commented;

“When we founded Aspen Waite in Wales 5 years ago, it was as the Welsh subsidiary of a leading firm of accountants in England. We had no idea of the fantastic growth and support we would enjoy both within and outside of the Principality.

We have grown from our original headquarters at Cardiff Arms Park to two more South Wales offices serving both local and distant business communities.

We specialise in solutions to problems and assist our clients with specialisation in research and development tax credits, corporate finance, digitalisation of accountancy, carbon transitioning and much more including troubleshooting, marketing support and ongoing business consultancy.

Unusually for accountants, our team also employs graduate engineers and we hold ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 accreditation that allow us to offer third party affirmation of carbon footprint and strategy and to speak the same language to our peers in the manufacturing sector.

We have retained staff and premises and continue to offer a comprehensive service to clients.”

The Tungsten Board consists of:

CEO David Scheeres. David is a serial inventor and environmental engineer, two of his inventions have won Queen’s Awards for Industry, including the Environmental Queen’s Award for an invention that has saved millions of watts of energy for the manufacturing sector.

Managing Director Darren Talbot is a qualified and highly experienced accountant who has made his mark as a financial director in professional rugby and a household name NGO. He joined Aspen Waite in Wales in its first year of trading as the first member of staff!  He brings with him, Bailey, our new office dog!

Chief Financial Officer Michelle Perkins is also a qualified and highly experienced accountant who is renowned for her “no nonsense” approach to assisting clients with cost saving and the digitalisation of their accounting, something that is being rolled out to cut back on paper use as part of our commitment to Carbon Net Zero.

Director Randall Edwards heads up Corporate Finance and Carbon transitioning strategy for clients with our product, Sustain. Randall is a former CF partner of a “Big 4” Cardiff firm, Randall is also the Chair of esteemed company Egnida, who advise Tier 1 companies and local authorities on carbon transitioning.

The board is supported and complimented by a team of talented multi-skilled individuals.

Asked why the name Tungsten was chosen? Scheeres commented,

“Simple, Tungsten is the hardest metal on earth, it is also the strongest metal on earth and difficult to bend, it also thrives under intense heat. We demonstrated this during the Pandemic as we did not bend and did not charge clients for processing furlough payments or loans and expanded as a result and actually increased in size. Tungsten does not corrode so our future is not Orange, it is bright!”
