The UK’s best community bank, Metro Bank, welcomed The Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Cllr Rod McKerlich and the Lady Mayoress Mrs Sue McKerlich at its Queen Street store last week.
Hosted by Metro Bank store manager Leanne Sutton, the Lord and Lady Mayor enjoyed a tour of the bank including its safe. The couple admired the store architecture and even enjoyed a welsh cake with a cup of coffee as they chatted with the Bank’s colleagues who have worked throughout the pandemic to offer essential banking services
“As a community bank, we are an integral service to local residents and businesses,” explains Cardiff Metro Bank’s store manager, Leanne Sutton. “It was lovely to be able to showcase the work we do for the local community with the Lord and Lady Mayor – their local knowledge and input about community, schools, charities and business was invaluable.”
