Metro Bank, the UK’s community bank, has partnered with the South and Mid Wales Chamber of Commerce. The bank now has two stores in Wales, one in Cardiff City Centre on Queen Street, and its newest store, a drive-thru bank on Newport Road.
The partnership with the chamber will allow Metro Bank to expand its business account offering and network within the thriving business community in Wales. By partnering with the Chamber the bank will have access to the large and trusted portfolio of resources that it provides.
Metro Bank offers customers the choice to bank however, whenever and wherever they choose – whether that’s face-to-face banking in store, on the phone, online or via its mobile app.
Every local business that banks with Metro Bank will have a Local Business Manager on hand, ready to help them run and grow their business. Metro Bank stores are open seven days a week so businesses can do their banking when it suits them. The drive-thru store also allows business customers to do their banking when on their drive to and from a long day at work, making business banking simple and easy.
Metro Bank’s Welsh team is led by Local Directors, Khushboo Patel (Queen Street) and John Lloyd Jones (Newport Road).
John Lloyd Jones, Local Director of Metro Bank, Cardiff Newport Road said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with our region’s Chamber of Commerce and reaching more businesses in South and Mid Wales. We’ve opened our first two stores in Wales this year and have received such a warm welcome from the Chamber and the business community in Cardiff. Metro Bank is about delivering more than just banking, we listen to our customers and support them with what is right for their business. We look forward to working with the Chamber and continuing to grow local businesses in Wales.”
The South and Mid Wales Chamber of Commerce makes sure that businesses in the region are heard. The Chamber helps to shape business policy in Wales, and address the challenges and opportunities in key sectors.
Heather Myers CEO, South and Mid Wales Chamber of Commerce, added: “We are delighted that Metro Bank are partnering with us so we can help them integrate into the Welsh business community and drive the local economy. This will be a great resource as businesses get back on their feet and face the challenges ahead”.
