Meet the Chamber team

Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid promotes, connects, supports and informs businesses across Wales, providing the fundamentals a business needs to operate and overcome challenges.

From connecting your company to markets worldwide as part of a global business network of over 60 accredited Chambers of Commerce to working alongside policymakers to shape the economic outlook of Wales, our Chamber wants to help businesses in Wales grow, be heard and succeed.

Here’s how we do it…

Promote

Marketing

It’s important to us that our members’ and partners’ work and achievements are recognised and appreciated. Part of our responsibility as a Chamber of Commerce also involves ensuring that businesses are aware of Welsh economic developments and available support. Working in collaboration with Chamber partners and Effective Communication, our marketing manager Chloe Pugh is responsible for all things promotional. From surveys to social media, Chloe creates, designs and shares our newsletters, social media content, surveys, website articles, British Chambers of Commerce updates and more.

If you are a member or partner of the Chamber and your business has something worth shouting about, make sure to get in contact with Chloe by email or call 07976 745008.

Connect

Events

From member conferences to award ceremonies and networking opportunities, our events team design, curate and deliver a whole host of business events to boost engagement and provide real added value to our members. Our event managers Nikki Williams and Simon Clarke deliver four key events annually which are perfect opportunities for members to network and rub shoulders with the Welsh business community: Wales Business Awards, Wales Week London, the Chamber’s AGM and the International Trade Exhibition and Dinner. The prestigious Wales Business Awards, for example, is held to recognise and reward the best successes of Welsh businesses through an enjoyable evening of fun and entertainment.

If you would like to find out more about our events, please contact Nikki by email or call 07891 233866.

Trade

For businesses trading internationally, our friendly team are happy to provide guidance through the documentation process and aim to get documents processed within 24 hours to help your business connect with new global markets. Whether you are an experienced or first-time exporter, our expert team provides invaluable advice on all aspects of trade including global export documentation and legalisation, ATA Carnets, EUR1 movement certificates, import and export declarations, access to the Chamber’s global network, trade deals and opportunities, and bespoke training for employees on exporting, importing and HMRC compliance.

Our international trade executives Mathew Noakes and Caroline Volles Loos can inform you about import and export customs declarations and how to move your goods through borders compliantly. For queries regarding certificates of origin, EUR1s, international import certificates and any other documentation for exporting goods, reach out to Joe Johnson and Keith Moore. If you are interested in brushing up on your trading knowledge, Keith can also help arrange training for your business.

Support

Membership

Our members are at the centre of everything our Chamber does. Account director Jonathan Cave puts his years of experience of helping businesses to grow and succeed to good use at the Chamber. His aim is to help every business or organisation to reach its goals by promoting members at every opportunity to his contacts and using his knowledge of other businesses in the Chamber to find solutions. Fellow account director Laurence Wood has been supporting businesses to maximise their growth opportunities and overcome challenges for most of his career. He brings new members into the Chamber and helps them benefit from all of the new connections that can be made through Chamber membership.

Want to embrace the opportunities that being a member offers? You can contact Jonathan by email or call 07738 267081 and Laurence by email or call 07395 019080.

Partnerships

We’re passionate about bringing organisations together and delivering solutions with the help of our corporate partners. Partnerships manager Sara Pardoe liaises with our Chamber partners to facilitate introductions between partners and members to develop strong supply chains and deliver innovative services, endorse partners with both local and national governments and position partners as thought and sector leaders with opportunities to share their expertise.
