It is our priority to ensure the voice of our members is heard by the people making the decisions that affect your business and the wider economy. Our first Roundtable of 2020 took place last month, the start of a programme of Chamber Roundtables that will be taking place throughout the year. This inaugural meeting was focused on international trade and export opportunities and was attended by Baroness Morgan AM, Minister for International Relations and the Welsh Language.
The Roundtable provided an opportunity for the Minister and her officials to hear first-hand from our members. Discussions focused on the challenges facing Welsh business post-Brexit and their views of what support is needed for them to thrive on the international market.
The session also highlighted the significant role the Chamber of Commerce can play in the successful delivery of the Welsh Government’s international strategy for the businesses we represent and the wider sector. We will update you further on the progress of this as we move toward publishing our own Chamber of Commerce International Strategy.
In the meantime, if you are looking to trade internationally, we can guide you through the relevant documentation and provide training and advice. If you are already established, we can help you grow by linking you with the right people and companies. Our wide network of International Chambers facilitates direct connections with relevant businesses across the globe. Our relationship with Consuls and Embassies, can provide information about the strengths of individual countries and routes to trade.
