Chamber sign Memorandum of Understanding with FBCCI

Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) on Monday November 8.

The FBCCI also signed an MOU with the Wales – Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce (WBCC), an organisation dedicated to providing trading opportunities between the two countries.

FBCCI is a Chamber of Commerce and Industry representing Bangladesh. The organisation plays a pivotal role in a consultative and advisory capacity, safeguarding the interest of the private sector in the country. Like the Chamber, FBCCI operates as a business services organisation and supports economic growth and opportunities for businesses.

The MOU was signed at the Exchange Hotel in Cardiff by the Chamber’s President Paul Slevin, the FBCCI President Mr Md Jashim Uddin and WBCC President Mr Abdul Alim respectively.

A number of distinguished directors of the FBCCI including Senior Vice President Mr Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu and Vice Presidents Mr M A Momen, Mr Md Aminul Haque Shamim and Mr Md Amin Helaly were present at the signing ceremony along with senior representatives from Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid and the WBCC.

The MOU will benefit businesses in both Bangladesh and Wales, providing the opportunity to cooperate and work together on areas of joint interest such as development, research activities and best practice, as well as strengthening the trading ties between the two countries.
